This book continues the authors' book "The Tsar of the Slavs," in which the dating of the Nativity of Christ was calculated as the year 1152 A.D. and the events of the XII century were reconstructed. In the present book, the subsequent events of the late XII — XIII century are reconstructed. The book is very important for understanding history as a whole. The close connection between the history of Christianity and the history of Rus, discovered earlier by the authors, is deepened still further. It turns out that Russian history was closely intertwined with the history of the Crusades and the "ancient" Trojan War. The assertions of Russian historians of the XVII century (for example, Prince M.M. Shcherbatov) that the Russians participated in the "ancient" events of the epoch of the Trojan War become understandable.

"Ancient" Aeneas, who founds the Roman kingdom, and his descendants — Romulus and Remus. The Varangian Rurik, who is also Aeneas, called to reign in Rus, and who founded the Russian kingdom. The authors explain the famous legend of the Calling of the Varangians.
